Together with our client, we have designed, built and developed a gantry which allows the lifting and lowering of pipes in different zones of the port and later in the ship. The pipes are part of the building of a submarine oil pipeline.

The structure is made of Carbon Steel (Quality S355J2H) pipes of round section ranging from 323 mm to 406 mm, and with widths between 20 and 30 mm. The stress tests have been made (by the notifying body) and the arcade structure has been assembled with brace rods to fix it to the floor.

All the welding of the project is made with total penetration, non-destructive checks (ultrasounds) in 100% of cases.

The assembling of the structure is planned for July and August 2020.
